Understanding Croatia’s Business, Work, and Tourist Visas

This guide provides an overview of the main types of Croatian visas, including short-stay business and tourist visas, as well as long-stay work visas. It outlines the eligibility criteria, permitted activities, and essential requirements for each visa category to help travelers and professionals plan their stay in Croatia legally and efficiently.

1. Croatia Business Visa
The Croatia Business Visa is a short-stay visa that permits the holder to travel to Croatia for business-related purposes for a duration of up to 90 days. Please note that this visa does not authorize the holder to engage in employment.

2. Croatia Long-Stay Visas
Foreign nationals intending to stay in Croatia for more than 90 days must obtain both a long-stay visa and a temporary residence permit.
One of the most common types of long-stay visas is the Croatia Work Visa, which allows individuals to live and work in Croatia. To apply, you must already have a Croatian employer. Additionally, your employer is responsible for securing a valid work permit on your behalf. A temporary residence permit cannot be granted without a valid work permit.

3. Croatia Tourist Visa
The Croatia Tourist Visa is a short-stay visa granted for purposes such as tourism, business, medical treatment, or other temporary travel needs. It allows stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period.
